Despite being a key skill, decision making is not taught as part of diplomas or degrees. And it isn’t a feature of the foundational training or induction processes in organisations.
The result is people are unaware of the frequency and impact of their decisions and have no tools or techniques to support them to make better decisions.
It’s not too late.
We can make sure you and your team don't crack under decision pressure.
Our training programs uplift the decision making skills and performance of individuals and teams. Choose a course from our training suite, or we will tailor a one to your needs.

Are your team processes for making significant decisions robust and requisite? Or is there lack of information about why and how decisions have been made, and who contributed?
This training is for teams responsible for making strategic decisions and providing recommendations to senior leadership on matters that have broad and long-term implications. The 2-days will skill participants in identifying and classifying problems, selecting appropriate decision methods, designing processes that engage stakeholders, preparing criteria and options, facilitating an evaluation, and analysing results.
The two-day program is highly practical and engaging, with participants transforming their understanding of decision planning and implementation, as they build a ‘live’ decision process while learning the underpinning theory that drives each component.
By building these skills as a team, the participants will apply learnings quickly and efficiently in their workplace. Graduates will get to work on designing and implementing processes that are requisite for the decisions they need to make as soon as they leave the course, and they will have worksheets and materials to support smooth planning and delivery.

Decision making is the key to high performance in teams and organisations. It drives business outcomes, financial performance, program design, policy implementation, recruitment, retention, risk mitigation, crisis management and more.
Managers spend at least half their time making decisions and research suggests that up to 98 per cent don’t implement good decision process in their workplace, leading to results that get overturned and failure to get best value for money.
This costs organisations money, time, and resources while employees and stakeholders become increasingly disenfranchised and withdraw their support or depart from the organisation.
Decision making for high performance introduces participants to their natural style and approach in decision making, and how to leverage and augment that with proven methods and techniques. The one-day program is highly practical and engaging, with participants transforming their understanding of decision making through scenario-based activities and group discussions, as well as exposure to decision theory.
A practical workbook and worksheets are provided for participants to use and apply in their workplace.

I'm the CEO of Decision Revolution, a social enterprise based in Canberra. Our mission is to help organisations and communities improve their decision making and leverage diversity in the process.
I've had the pleasure of working with large organisations and government departments for many years, helping them develop strategies, make investment decisions, and build policies using academically rigorous decision processes and techniques. My career spans across public, private, and not for profit sectors, and I've led governance, policy, and strategy in some very sensitive and high-profile environments.
After working as a public servant for over 12 years, I transitioned to consulting and continued to support government clients with complex decision-making and strategic communication. In 2021, I established Women in Strategic Decision Making (WiSDM), and in 2022, Decision Revolution.
As a highly regarded facilitator, I have extensive experience designing and leading workshops for a wide range of stakeholders, including senior executives. I'm proud to be a member of the Executive Committee of the Australasia Chapter of the Society of Decision Professionals, and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. I'm also a certified analyst and facilitator in Multi Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) and Decision Conferencing, and hold a high-level Australian Government security clearance.
I am passionate about giving individuals, leaders, and teams access to decision making tools and techniques to fuel their performance. I would love to chat about how Decision Revolution can help your organisation achieve better outcomes and leverage diversity in decision making.
Decision Revolution is based on Ngunnawal country, which has never been ceded by its traditional owners. We pay our respects to these traditional owners as well as their elders: past, present, and emerging.
We advocate for the active participation of Indigenous peoples in decision-making matters which affect their rights, their futures, and the broader community. We support Indigenous peoples’ contribution to decision-making through representatives and means of their choosing, and respect their traditional decision-making structures and processes. We invite opportunities to learn about the decision-making practices of our First Nations People and welcome these connections.
